Norcross Travel Guide
Welcome to Norcross!
This WorldWeb.com travel and tourism guide for Norcross, featuring hotels and other accommodations, tours, attractions, events, shopping and more, will help you plan a successful visit to Norcross, Georgia, U.S.A.
Created as a resort town for wealthy Atlantans in 1870, Norcross has always been considered one of greater Atlanta's more popular destinations. In the 1980s the area found great prosperity thanks to Atlanta's development boom and through that time the city council of Norcross strove to ensure that the town preserved its history and didn't lose its charm. Today that effort is evident on Peachtree Street, which spans across the entire town and is just a small part of the 112 acres listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Although it is possibly most popular for being a short drive from downtown Atlanta, Norcross manages to offer visitors an island of well-treed parks, a vibrant history and a small-town atmosphere, while being surrounded by immense commercial development.
